Channel 4’s hit show is back.
First Dates can be a stressful business but little things like a friendly waiter or a chatty barman can help to break to that tension. With the new series of channel 4’s First Dates hitting our screens on Wednesday 4th April we thought it would be a chance to showcase our take on their classy restaurant uniform look.
If you’ve seen the program you know the uniform is stylish and simple with the First Dates crew sporting a plain white shirt, tweed waistcoat and chinos. This is finished with a muted coloured tie and canvas apron. It may be quite plain but it looks remarkably chic in their modern London Restaurant.
At Kylemark we didn’t go out to replicate this look exactly but rather show you different options that can be mix and matched to suit your own style.
This years new range of tweed style waistcoats are a good starting point. With 6 different patterns to choose from and coming in male and female fits it’s a good base to build a uniform round. Matched with our duck cotton canvas aprons you start to see the similarities with the First Dates look.
These wouldn’t look out of place any trendy restaurant or bar and give a really upmarket look that to any hospitality staff.
Chinos are the trouser of choice at the Paternoster Chop House where First Dates is filmed and if that’s what you want we can easily provide these; but you may want to consider the chino skirt option to.
It’s a smart but casual look and our new range for 2018 are designed to match these waistcoats perfectly.
Finish with a crisp white shirt and colour matching tie to complete the uniform.
So, it’s easier than you think to make your team look like tv stars and with a bit of imagination you’ll get a uniform that gives the same vibe as First Dates.
