Print absolutely anything on the most modern of fabrics.
We’ve all seen them. Those flamboyant t-shirts with over the top, in your face designs. Designs that cover every square inch of fabric, making us squint as it assails our senses. There’s no denying some peoples taste but these splashes of vibrant colours certainly stand out from the crowd.
So thinking along these lines should we not be embracing this technique? Should we be using its potential to promote our own business?
Of course, it doesn’t have to poke you in the eye and scream look at me. The designs can be as subtle or as flashy as you like. As you can print absolutely anything on these shirts the sky’s the limit.
Sublimation is a method of transferring ink on to fabric using heat. That simple. You can choose to have a small understated logo design or get a bespoke full colour all over print.
Our latest shirt for Walkers Pepsico had to be done to an accurate spec with the graphics matching exactly to their drawings. With Sublimation this isn’t a problem. The design, along with the garment cutting pattern, is first printed on to a specialised paper. This is then laid on top of the fabric and heated so the ink turns to gas. This permeates the fabric making it bond permanently to the material. A process which is less likely to fade over time.
After this it’s just a matter cutting the material panels and sewing the garment together. And there you have it. A bespoke, eye catching garment ready to promote whatever you want.
